Full Lace Wigs - The Tape Application Method

It is important that you attach your full lace wig in such a way that it looks completely natural. It can be done but it may take a little practice. There are some tricks to be learned though but once you learn them, proper application of your full lace wig is a cinch.

Pre-Cut Wig Tape

Most wig application tapes come in precut strips to make using them more convenient to use. However; if the tape that you are using isn't precut, you are going to have to cut some strips to fit your scalp. It's pre-bonded tape that is sticky on both sides, so it will adhere to both your head and the wig.

Cover Your Scalp Evenly With Wig tape

Cut a good number of strips and stick them to your scalp above your natural hairline in such a way that the entire perimeter of your scalp is covered evenly. After this is done then you are ready to begin attaching your full lace wig.

Sticking the Back Of Your Full Lace Wig Down

Apply your wig from the front to the back using hand pressure to insure that it is stuck down properly. One thing to remember as you get to the "back" or "nape area" is to crunch your head down as far as you can, so your chin buts into your chest as you apply the wig.

An Important Step To Remember To Do

This is to insure that the wig is in place in such a way that should you have to look down at some point while you are wearing it, it won't come undone or look unnatural in any way due to the stress in the back that will be created by having to look down.

Try Not To Sweat A lot

Finally, you will need to use a tight head band around the perimeter of your head after the wig has been completely attached. It should be worn for five minutes or so to insure that the full lace wig is completely bonded to your scalp. Another thing to remember, is that you should avoid any activities that can lead to heavy perspiration, as this can cause cheap lace wig to come loose.
